PULLED PORK SHOULDER | in the oven recipe



6lbs pork shoulder
2 tbsp sweet & smoky seasoning rub
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp seasoned salt
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp complete seasoning

sauce
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt

bbq sauce of your choice

  1. Have you ever tried to smoke it first for a few hrs? I am always looking for great ideas to serve my employees but I don’t always have the time to work on it in the morning before work or after the day before. Seems like I could smoke it after work for 3-6hrs then throw it in the electric roaster and when it’s lunch time just shred it up?

  2. Candy, I am making this today. I started at 9am with rub, into the oven by 10am. Already starting to smell yummy. I am going to try your apple cider vinegar sauce but won’t have the added days to allow it to sit.

  3. Me and my wife just made this today. Labor Day 2022. It turned out great. Better than any restaurant I have bought pulled pork from. Saving those drippings and pouring it on after it was pulled was perfect. Thank You!!
