This recipe is inspired by Mujadra, a Middle Eastern dish that combines lentils and rice, topped with fried onions. To round it out for a satisfying full meal, we add ground beef to these staple ingredients and use pumpkin pie spice for its variety of warm spices.

Drain the rice!
Sounds delicious.
You've got to be kidding Pumpkin pie spice and canned onions? I'm offended and I'm not Middle Eastern. Do better ATK
Made this last night and it was so so so good. Absolutely 10/10. So fast and easy to make too!
I use pumpkin pie spice blend in a lot of recipes, both sweet and savory. It's a simple way to add a Mediterranean flavor to savory dishes,.and
I great recipe for ground beef. Looks delicious!
It is a Palestinian dish and all Palestinian foods are great.
This woman is awesome with her recipes!!! So tasty!
Why is she cooking rice like pasta!? Is it that hard to make rice that she needs to drown it and then drain it??? Uncle Roger is gonna have a heart attack.
Typically mujaddara is vegan / vegetarian but this is a creative way to spice things up
Interesting combination of flavors
Wow, this looks insanely good! I’m salivating.
As an ATK devotee I have to say I'm disappointed in this take of mujadara. It's a beloved dish in our household with properly fried onions and a well-built one pot situation with layered flavor–onions, lentils, then rice. If this is a gateway to true mujadara, great. But I feel like this method is a little "Sandra Lee-esque". No disrespect intended. I just expect more from ATK.
Your recipes suck
Looks good, I like these kinds of flavors. They don't sell pumpkin spice blend as a single product in my country so does anyone have any suggestions as to what proportions of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice to substitute for it?
I will skip the yogurt but this looks great…
Looks really really good ! Now I've a reason to buy pumpkin spice & those crispy onions which I've never bought before . 🎃
Looks great! And budget friendly! Thank you!
I have basmati rice I can use for this, and I have a can of lentils. I also have dried lentils. I will thaw out a pound of ground beef today, and make this. I have the spices. Thanks Ashley.
Pumpkin pie spice is not in my culinary vocab. This recipe does not appeal to me.
Am I allowed to use traditionally cooked rice and lentils? I don't keep canned lentils on hand and I refuse to boil rice in excessive amounts of water.

Hi from California 🤗
Salutations 🎃😋
I love anything with rice and ground beef – however, I'm not a fan of cumin – any suggestions for a replacement?
Why is the meat so pink?
OMG this is my fav go to weeknight meal !!!!!!!
❤️🤝❤️
Ok, stopping at the store tonight. The will be tomorrow night's dinner. Easy peasy for Thursday night. And off on Friday. This works!
@4:40 ”And not only is this going to add that beautiful grassy dill flavor.” 🤔
ATK cut off the rest of Ashley’s comment. What was she going to add? I’m distracted by that edit. 😆😆
I found that the meatiness of chopped dried turkish figs tastes better than beef granules. I am intrigued to try the pumpkin pie spice.
