I love hot milk cake. It doesn’t need icing which I find too sweet.
I made 1/2 recipe in a small square pan for a couple of tea time guests. It was a huge success. It's a perfect cake for tea, though a bit sweet. I will reduce sugar a bit next time.

This was a recipe my grandma used all the time in the spring for strawberry shortcake! It is so good when the sweet juice soaks into it when you layer it up with strawberries and whipped cream.

I have a hand mixer, and Low is like Medium Low.
I make this cake and then add a butter/brown sugar/coconut/ milk topping after it comes out of the oven. We call it Lazy Daisy Cake. Yum
