INGREDIENTS:

For Curd Masala:

whisked curd 2/3 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 2 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp

Methode:

Mix all the above ingredients and keep aside

For the curry:

Spices:
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Cinnamon 2 pieces
Green cardamom 3
cloves 4
Black cardamom 2
Bay leaf 2
Star anise 1
Mace a small piece

Other ingredients:
Chicken 600 gms
Onion 3 sliced
Tomato 1 finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Oil 4-5 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
Prepared curd masala mixture
Coriander leaves chopped
Salt to taste
Water 250 ml

METHOD:

Heat oil in a pan add all the spices above mentioned. Saute on low flame for 30 seconds.
Add onions and saute on medium flame until the onion turns light brown in colour.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute on low flame for 2 minutes till the raw smell goes off.
Add chopped tomato and saute on medium flame for 4 minutes.
Add prepared curd mixture, mix well and cook on low heat until oil seperates.
Add chicken pieces along with salt and garam masala powder. Mix well and saute on medium flame for 5 minutes.
Add water and give a mix.
Cover and cook on low flame for 20 minutes,stirring occasionally.
After 20 minutes give a stir and add chopped coriander leaves.
Mix well and turn off the flame.
Delicious, spicy dhaba style chicken curry is ready.
Serve with roti, chapathi, naan or ghee rice.
