🕰️ Short on time and wondering what the heck to make for dinner? This Quick & Easy Korean Beef is one of our go-to meals – and the whole dinner comes together in under 30 minutes.
Whether you use ground beef, turkey, or chicken, this recipe is full of flavour and perfect for busy weeknights. I usually serve it over rice (I used my Instant Pot, but instant rice or leftover rice works just fine!) and I love topping it with chopped peanuts (or sesame seeds) and green onions for a little extra crunch, flavour and colour.
I originally found a version of this recipe online, gave it my own little tweaks, and now I’m sharing it with you! I hope you love it as much as we do.

📖 Recipe | Quick & Easy Korean Beef
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
1 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp freshly grated or finely chopped ginger (or 1 to 2 tsp ground ginger if that’s what you have on hand)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup brown sugar (or reduce to 1/4 cup if you prefer it less sweet)
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt (about 1 tsp), black pepper, and a dash of seasoning salt to taste
* Cooked rice (Instant Pot, instant rice, or leftover rice)
Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, sliced green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. Brown the ground beef in a pan over medium-high heat.
2. Season with salt, pepper, and seasoning salt while cooking. Drain if needed.
3. Stir in garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
4. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, until heated through and flavours come together.
5. Serve over hot rice and top with green onions, chopped peanuts, and sesame seeds (if you like).
(Use whatever rice you’ve got—it’s all good!)
📝 How I Cook My Rice in the Instant Pot:
1. Add 2 cups rinsed long grain rice + pinch of salt + 2½ cups water
2. Close lid, seal, and set for 3 minutes
3. I do a natural pressure release (but quick release works too)
Perfect rice, every time!

That looks yummy! Eugene doesn't like soy sauce (and I love it) so I want to make this with Worcestershire sauce.
I just made tonight's supper, Hamburger Helper potatoes stroganoff… and the milk curdled! I haven't tasted it yet so your dish may be tonight's meal. My dogs don't care if their supper is curdled.
Looks good. I will have to try it! Thanks
