Ingredients:
250 grams of pasta (penne, spaghetti, or any other type)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
1 cup of tomato puree or crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs (such as oregano, basil, or thyme)
1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (adjust according to your spice preference)
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated cheese for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sautรฉ for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the chopped onion and diced bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
