Ingredients

Sooji/Rava – 1/2 Cup
Boiled Milk – 1 Liter
Jaggery – 150 Gms
Cashew Nuts
Raisins
Water – 1/4 Cup
Ghee
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 Tsp

Method
Heat a pan with some ghee
Roast the rava till its golden in color and keep it aside
Heat some ghee in a pan and add the cashewnuts and rasins
Roast till its golden in color and keep it aside
Heat a pot with water and add jaggery
Melt the jaggery and boil it for 5 mins
Keep it aside
Heat the milk
Once it starts boiling, add the roasted rava
Keep stirring it occasionally until the rava is cooked completely
Once the rava is cooked, keep the flame on low and strain the melted jaggery into it
Add the cardamom powder, roasted cashewnuts and raisins
Mix everything well
Serve the Rava payasam warm
