This cheese pull-apart bread is soft, buttery, and packed with cheesy goodness. It’s a perfect treat for any occasion!
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
• 140ml warm milk
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 2 tsp yeast
• 1 egg
• 300g all-purpose flour
• ⅔ tsp salt
• 30g unsalted butter softened
For the Filling:
• 50g cream cheese
• 100g unsalted butter (room temperature)
• 100g mozzarella
• 1-2 tbsp dried parsley or any of your favorite herbs
• 2-3 minced garlic cloves
• 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
2️⃣ Add flour and salt, then mix well.
3️⃣ Add the softened butter (30g) and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rise for 1-2 hours in a warm place until doubled in size.
4️⃣ Once risen, place the dough on a floured surface and roll it into a 50cm x 50cm square.
5️⃣ Mix the filling ingredients and evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough. (If you like, you can keep the mozzarella separate and sprinkle it on top after spreading the mixture.)
6️⃣ Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into 9 to 12 equal squares, depending on the size of your loaf tin. (My baking pan size is 9×5 inches.)
7️⃣ Stack the squares in pairs without pressing them too tightly.
8️⃣ Arrange them upright in a greased or lined loaf tin. Cover and let them rise for 45 minutes.
9️⃣ Brush the top of the dough with a beaten egg
🔟 Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown .Brush with melted butter while it’s hot
