RECIPE-LESS PORK PIE COOK OFF!! | Sorted Food

Who else loves PORK PIES as much as we do? It’s a traditional English meat pie that’s filled with pork, surrounded by a layer of jelly and cased inside a hot water crust pastry. The perfect accompaniment to a cold pint of lager… and the perfect battle dish for our normals, Barry and Jamie.

Watch them go head to head in the ULTIMATE cook off and comment down below to let us know who your winner is!

  1. Why, for the love of all that is good, does Jamie ALWAYS use the smallest pan he can find?! Bigger pans is better, especially if you’re trying to fry off the moisture from something! Please Jamie, use a bigger pan!!

  2. I’m at 11:25 and I’ve paused the video to write this. Jamie’s looks better but I think Barry’s is going to taste better. But you both did a really good job and certainly better than I would of done, picture if you will a 46 year old toddler throwing a tantrum

  3. I have only eaten it once and did not know it was supposed to be cold, so was disappointed. I would like to try again now that I know what it is. I had a ploughman's lunch at a pub across from Windsor castle and had the best ham in my whole life and great cheese. A memory I will never forget.

  4. Watching back old episodes, one things I don't like is when the Chefs cringe or get snippy at the normals for not knowing what to do… when there's no recipe… as if this is stuff everyone just knows how to make…

  5. i cook something new multiple times a week. sometimes a recipe simply doesnt exist and it has sprung from my mind… other times a recipe exists, and i just look at the ingredients to get an idea of what is in it, then go for it. cooking with a recipe is boring and you dont learn nearly as much that way. i am no master chef, but i love cooking for people, and they love eating my food… but i dont even remember the last time i used a measuring utensil for measuring. im not saying that a recipe has no value or no place… it does. but cooking without a recipe is not a scary or intimidating thing. just go for it @.@
