Older model Weber Spirit and Genesis barbecue grill hose and regulators attached to the manifold with a special fitting. Watch as we take you step by step to remove the hose and regulator and than identify the correct type of gas fitting to safely install a new hose and regulator on our Weber BBQ.
This is a Weber model that is over 15 years old. It was so badly aged the customer asked us to destroy it when we delivered her new Weber grill. Instead of dumping this barbecue we are using it to show detailed repair instructions but also to demonstrate that the old American made Weber BBQ grills can almost always be repaired and brought back to “like-new” condition.
This video shows us the hose and regulator being replaced with the proper gas fitting available today and then leak checking and testing the gas line to ensure safety.
