Beautiful & looks good ❤
I’ve been doing a similar dish with things like chinese sausage and cured pork belly and other proteins for years. I will definitely try this version, thanks for sharing. Also, trust your sense of taste, change up the protein. With shrimp, add cooked shrimp later so they don’t overcook.
looks perfectly delicious, thank you
ive done this for years with my japanese rice cooker. works every time

Meals like this are a life saver right now for me. Thank you! Just starting school again and Im getting home kind of late some days so being able to prep this in… 10-15min? Then just use the cook time to make a side salad, make the next day's lunch, or even do some dishes will be so helpful. Then I can curl up and eat and unwind with way less stress.
I'm so glad that you introduced an Okinawan dish on this cooking channel. Will try this rice dish and enjoy it with awamori!
looks nice, you have some good recipes, especially if it can be made in the one pot.
Oooh, that would be good in rice ball form too.
