Okinawan Jushi Rice Recipe (1 serving)

INGREDIENTS:

・Uncooked white rice: 150g (approx. 3/4 cup)
・Pork loin (or pork belly): 50g (approx. 1.8 oz)
・Carrot: 50g (approx. 1.8 oz)
・Shiitake mushroom: 1
・Hijiki seaweed (dried): 2.5g (approx. 0.09 oz), reconstituted in water (optional)
・Green onion: 10g (approx. 0.35 oz), for topping

■For the Seasoning Broth :
・Water: 200ml (approx. 0.85 US cup)
・Sake: 1 tbsp
・Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
・Shantung (or your favorite bouillon or stock powder/paste): 1 tsp
・Sugar: 1 tsp
・Dashi powder: a dash

Every food that you're make i can feel it, it's come from bottom of your heart. I know bento can takes alot of time to prepare and decorate the cooking proses can takes to 2 till 3 hours. Then the decorations also will take 1 till 3 hours! I try but sadly i dont have a patient so yeah.   3. I’ve been doing a similar dish with things like chinese sausage and cured pork belly and other proteins for years. I will definitely try this version, thanks for sharing. Also, trust your sense of taste, change up the protein. With shrimp, add cooked shrimp later so they don’t overcook.

  5. Meals like this are a life saver right now for me. Thank you! Just starting school again and Im getting home kind of late some days so being able to prep this in… 10-15min? Then just use the cook time to make a side salad, make the next day's lunch, or even do some dishes will be so helpful. Then I can curl up and eat and unwind with way less stress.
