Roast Beef over Open fire in Cast Iron Dutch Oven Recipe



Simple Pot Roast Beef Recipe with Guinness for Dutch Oven cooking over open fire or in the kitchen
This will easily feed 4 people

What you need (untensils)

Dutch oven (4L -4.5L Size)
Large Spoon
Couple of Plates
Sharp Knife
Chopping Board
Tablespoon
Measuring Jug

Ingredients Needed

500g of Beef
4 Medium Potatoes
2 Large Carrots
2 Medium Onions
1 Beer of Choice (250ml Needed)
Beef Stock (250ml Needed)
4 Tablespoons of Oil
Keep Extra beer or Stock for Drying out if needed

also alternatively if you don’t want to use beer just use beef stock instead.

Step by step process

-Preheat Dutch Oven
-Chop Veg into Chunky Pieces
-Heat oil in Dutch Oven
-Sear and Seal Beef in Hot oil
-Remove Beef and Season with salt & pepper
-Add Onions to Dutch Oven
-Place Beef on top of Onions
-Add remaining Veg around Beef
-Add Stock and Beer to Dutch oven
-Place on Dutch oven Lid
-Let Cook for 2 Hours over Medium Heat
-Check periodically for Drying out
-Add extra Stock or Beer if Needed
-After 2 Hours Remove Beef and Slice
-Serve with Veg and It’s Gravy
-Enjoy Meal

  2. I've never heard of using beer in the place of water that's interesting, Looks like that would taste really good I'd have to throw some garlic on it maybe some lemon pepper keep up the great work by for now your friend Ken.
