We made this shallow Fry Fish recipe for dinner a couple of nights before. It did not take much time to complete the preparation, and marinating the fish was very simple and quick. We only left 10min to marinate, and the fish was marinated to perfection. When the combination of colourful vegetables and perfectly shallow fried fish mix with the well-balanced spices and sauce mix, chilli fish is a very flavoursome dish that can ideally be served with white rice. We all enjoyed it, hope you all too!
Ingredients for Marinating Fish
350g of Rockling fish (can be replaced with any other white fish fillet)
1 Tsp garlic powder
½ Tsp ginger powder
1 Tsp onion flakes
1 Tsp ground pepper
2 Tsp chilli powder
2 Tbsp cornflour
½ a lemon juice
1 egg yolk
¼ Tsp Salt or Salt to taste
Ingredients for Sauce Mix
1 Tbsp chilli sauce
1 Tbsp tomato sauce
1 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp cornflour
2 Tbsp water
Rest of the Ingredients –
4 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp chilli-garlic and ginger mix (4 garlic cloves, 2 Tbsp of chilli flakes, ½ thumb size ginger. Pound everything until becomes a rough paste)
1 whole carrot – roll cut
2 fresh red chillies – cut
1 whole onion – cut to petals
1 whole bell pepper – cut to squares
A bunch of spring onion – chopped
2 Tbsp of cornstarch (1 Tbsp of cornflour mix with 2 Tbsp of water)
A few drops of Sesame oil
