Me and Mary made a delicious Date Loaf last week! Here’s the recipe for you all it was delicious but Mary’s nae the biggest fan o raisins and thought the dates were giant ones lol 😂. Bit of a funny face tasting it at the end lol 😂

Ingredients – 225g chopped dates, 1tsp baking powder, 1tbsp butter, 110g Caster Sugar, 125ml Boiling Water, 1 egg, 180g Self Raising Flour.

🍰Preheat the oven to 160C (fan) and grease up a small loaf tin.

🍰 Add the chopped dates, butter and caster sugar together and add the boiling water. Stir until the butter has melted.

🍰Add the baking powder and flour and mix through well. Add in the egg and a little milk if it’s too stiff. Mix through well.

🍰Bake in a greased loaf tin for 45minutes or until baked through.
