[Braised Pork Ribs 红烧排骨]
This dish is another of our family’s favourite. Roland’s Braised Pork Ribs tasted just like the famous canned braised pork ribs that I’ve been enjoying since young (my favourite!!) This is a very simple & yummy recipe. You can easily recreate in a few easy steps. Make them for your family & let us know what they think.
See the ingredient list below for your easy reference.
We would like to give special thanks to La Gourmet for letting us try out their high quality multi-cooker pot in the video respectively. The multi-cooker can be used as a rice cooker, a pressure cooker, a stir frying pot, a pot to keep your food warm, a double boiler — so many functions! If you like to buy La Gourmet multi-cooker pot, you can get it here or you can also go to any of the major departmental stores in Singapore such as Isetan, Robinsons, Takashimaya, BHG, OG, Metro or Tangs. These two brands are also available in most major departmental stores in Malaysia. La Gourmet products are also sold in Philippines and Indonesia.
Hope you can recreate this yummy dish in the comfort of your home. Thanks for dropping by our channel.

Hey guys, here's an update: So I cooked with a stove for 50-60mins on low heat since I don't have a pressure cooker, the sauce is amazing, ribs not as soft as how it turn out to be on the video, but the sauce is so good! I use normal ham instead of chinese ham. This can actually work without a pressure cooker! Wonder how I can improve by getting super soft tender ribs without pressure cooker..hope someone can help!
Tq for d cooking tips. I cooked for today's dinner for my family. Awesome! Delicious! 😋My daughter said it is addictive. 😂
Your dogs wants the foods.😂 awesome ribs.
😍😍😍
I cooked this today and it’s really delicious! Thank you for sharing your recipe 🙂
Thanks for sharing!
The prime ribs look tender and juicy. I will try this. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for d recipe chef.😁🙋
Like to consider to have the steps (cooking) listed and not just the ingredients? It can then be printed out and brought to the kitchen instead of carrying the whole PC there or running to and fro to see the steps. BTW your cooking is nice.
Thank you
Hi Jamie, can this dish be done with the La Gourmet 4L healthy rice cooker? If so, which function button do I use to cook and for how long?
Roland can you do more receipes using the la Gourment pressure. I own the same model you are using but not good to cook other dishes except soup mode and lately only open lid method to thicken the sauce. Would appreciate how to sauté using this model
May i ask why do you press "Taste" on the pressure cooker.
Whats function does it do.
Hi I am new to cooking but recently I buy a pressure cooking & still trying to know how to use. I was told to put garlic first before place in ingredients. But I see that you fried your pork first and then only add garlic. May I know why?
I get my ribs super soft by putting in cast iron pan, put foil over pan cover with lid> Put in 350 degree oven for 30-45 minutes. Make sure you start on stove-top first for 10 minutes then transfer to oven> Meat will be pressure cooker tender. If you try it update us on your experience! Make sure you check it at the thirty minute mark giving a stir and checking tenderson. Happy Cooking!!
I tried cooking this in the la gourmet multicooker & i followed ure method precisely but the pork ribs turned out quite tough and chewy and stringy. And yes i thawed the pork ribs before cooking. As a last resort i am boiling them on stove for another hour. I notice i always get this result when i use pork belly/ribs in the la gourmet multicooker however when i cook chicken/soup with some meat or porridge it is fine. Can u advice what happened? I find this never happens on the stove. 😩☹😪
With out the chinese han is it ok?bcoz we dont have it right now?
can u also show how to make spareribs with black bean sauce that you would just steam it.
oh yeah if you beat the fried chicken with a scoop it not only makes it tender but the sauce gets in there and it tastes much better. so beat that good chicken
looks good hey can u show us how to make spare ribs in black bean sauce. my father showed me twice but i forgot
Very yummy sir i need len more
Hi this is my 3rd time asking as u seem to be ignoring me. Can I add in some shaoxing wine? Also can i substitute with some bacon instead of chinese ham/ham as this is what I have in my kitchen? And if i were to use pork belly how long in the multicooker/pressure cooker? The last time i cooked pork belly in the pressure cooker i cooked it for 50 mins it actually turned out tough. Is it possible to overcook the meat in the presaure cooker? I am fairly new with using this multicooker and i have problem with the timing. I am cooking this tmr so please offer some help. If u are avoiding my questions i will not continue to post any longer. If ure busy i do understand.
Thank you for another great teaching video. There are two ingredients in this dish with which I am unfamiliar – dried scallops and Chinese ham. I will go to my local Chinese market and ask the lady to help me find them. You guys are the best!
This looks oh, so delicious! I am not sure I can get dried scallops where I live in Atlantic Canada, but fresh scallops are readily available. Would these be just as good, or if I use fresh, should I use a seafood broth rather than water when I cook the scallops?
Yummy recipe. Am using an iron pot to cook this dish. How long shld i stew it. Thks.
If i double the pork ribs ingredients, double the ingredients and sauces? Can I add in some shaoxing wine? If using pork belly how long in the multicooker/pressure cooker? The last time i cooked pork belly in the pressure cooker i cooked it for 50 mins it actually turned out tough. Is it possible to overcook the meat in the presaure cooker? I am fairly new with using this multicooker and i have problem with the timing.
Chef just love your cooking…easy to understand and the results are just so good. Watched this recipe as it looked so yummy but only thing is that i don't take pork😬 Can i use same recipe but use lamb ribs instead 😋
