Seviyan or vermicelli kheer, is a traditional popular dessert. Seviyan is a delicious and an easy recipe to make.
Seviyan kheer is prepared with Seviyan (vermicelli), milk and sugar, first seviyan are roasted in ghee which gives it a nice aroma and taste then it is boiled in milk and sugar nuts, cardamom are add to it. Serve hot or at room temperature or chilled.
Semiya / Vermicelli Kheer
Ingredients
• Semiya / Vermicelli (thick & roasted) – ½ cup
• Milk – ½ ltr
• Sugar – ½ cup
• Saffron – a pinch
• Cardamom powder – a pinch
• Pure ghee – 1 tbsp
• Nuts – Chopped cashew, almond, pistachios, Chironji, raisin
