Send him to a dentist to get the black tooth fixed. PLEASE!!!!!
I use an air fryer at least once a day. My main complaint is there isn't a proper way to clean around the heating element. I had a GoWise which was great, but decided to try the Jaerup which is a flip up type of fryer. It's been about a month, and so far cooks great and easier to clean.
I have the Ninja one and like it.
For one or two people the Instant Pot Vortex 2-quart Mini Air Fryer has been great in our house. It doesn't take a lot of space but holds plenty of food. Easy to use and easy to clean. All around winner.
Peeling coating??? Durability after 2 years???
A post-sale-style follow-up would be appreciated
The instant vortex and not the Phillips air fryer that’s a big change 😳
Air Fryers are just rebranded convection ovens.
Most useful kitchen gadgets 😊
I have the Ninja Foodi air fryer and since I got it for Christmas 2021, I have not used my oven. I use the air fryer for everything and it is wonderful!
Don't get the toaster oven style ones. 1. If you cook something like french fries you would have to carefully move them around with tongs unlike a basket design where you can shake them or move them around with tongs without them falling out. And you can take the basket out and take it to the dinner table to dump your food out if you wanted to unlike food on a rack. Also if you cook using both racks then the drippings from the top rack will drip onto the food on the bottom rack. 3. The mesh racks are more difficult to clean. 4. Drippings and crumbs fall into a shallow pan and the door creating a messy clean up. Stick with a basket type for ease of use and clean up. Most come with perforated type pans. Stay away from ones with wire type racks, they are harder to clean.
As for volume size don't do not go by that. Go by cooking surface area. You want a basket that is wide so you can spread out your food. Most foods cannot be piled on if you are going for crisp. Volume size is deceiving as these manufacturers are making larger capacity basket air fryers now. People want larger capacity air fryers but also don't want large appliances taking up counter space. So what do these manufacturers do? They make the baskets narrower and taller to compensate. So again look for ones with wide baskets to give you the most cooking surface. Also baskets with shorter sides are easier to get like a spatula into unlike one with tall sides. And forget the dual basket airfyers also. The baskets are too small for anything other than a snack.
And lastly, don't expect to cook a full meal for more than 2 or cooking a lot for a party quickly. Remember, you can't cook 6 or 7 quart of food at a time. You can only cook what you can spread out in your basket pretty much. And most things take between 10-20 minutes on average to cook. So imagine if you have to cook like 4+ baskets worth and it took that long for each batch. So if you are cooking several dishes or large quantities, it'll be faster doing it the old fashioned way instead of using an air fryer.
Is it nice to have an air fryer? Yes, but don't expect your dishes to turn out like they were deep fried. It heats up food nicely and pretty fast especially pizza and fried chicken. I would use mine more if I had room on my counter to keep it out. So take that into thought also if you plan on getting one.
I absolutely love my air fryer! I use it to cook meals & snacks. It even makes scrumptious, crispy fries, from scratch. My favorite feature: It reheats my leftovers, making them as enjoyable as my freshly-made dishes. 🥢 Awesome small appliance!
I use the ninja double air fryer and love it.
Love my Cosori air fryer. I hardly use my microwave anymore. I also have an air fryer range with the air fryer rack. The range is just impractical for smaller amounts and defeats the unparalleled ease to shake food in the basket. I wouldn’t be without it. A convection toaster over, of which I’ve had, will not give the same, FAST, top down precise browning control. It’s an indispensable tool for me.
Power XL is a beast love my fryer
This video was dumb
My Gourmia 7 qt from Costco for $40 is going strong at my house.
Glad I got an air fryer– the same Instant Pot one recommended here– reconditioned at a reduced price. It offers a bit of convenience, but generally, I haven't liked how it cooks the food. French fries come out dry, and only slightly crispier than from the oven. A small roast chicken heated unevenly– the top was blackened, the rest, only OK– and it can handle chickens less than five pounds. It offers convenience, and a bit of speed, and ease of cleaning, but I don't use it very often.
do they really fry air? thats the question we all came here for, GIVE US ANSWERSS!!!!
Please let us know some brands that one can use that's not Teflon coated in the inside more like stainless steel or cast iron,? We don't want the forever chemicals 😢🙆🏻♀️👎🏼🥴☢️⚠️☣️🗑️
Stop this format, please. Infomercials died in the 2000's for a reason. Make the filming more organic, I implore you.
I'd like to hear what Hannah and Lisa have to say about the horrible fumes issue that many verified purchase reviewers have cited (go to any retailer's site to read comments). My experience … two of my cousins had Instant Pot Vortex Plus air fryers. Both followed the instructions to do a "test" (as an engineer, I find that a horrible euphemism) to get rid of fumes, both repeated the "test" and never got rid of fumes, both returned them for refunds. I didn't know about their experiences and purchased a smaller 4-qt Vortex Plus. I had the identical problems they had! Unbelievable. I did the 17-minute "tests" about 8 times out on the deck. Always that smell of burning plastic. I also tried seasoning the pot/grate and noticed the white paper towels used to rub the oil had black discoloration! As an engineer, I suspect IP has a PTFE coating issue. Also, wiring in the fan that's directly above the heating coil could be heating up and contributing to the fumes. I returned mine.
I have a NuWave fryer. It works pretty well, drawer style. Operation is a little quirky, it has these mostly useless presets. One issue is when it's done you can't simply cook again. You must turn it off & start over which also resets your selected temperature. (I wrote to them about, no response at all).
I have a toaster over with frying. It's a single shelf & holds much more food. It doesn't fry as well, I suspect due to less air flow, smaller fan.
These don't really fry as well as oil. Oily things turn out quite well, tots, breaded nuggets, anything from the store in a bag. Home made items are not as good. I brush out spray things such as egg rolls with some oil, somewhat defeating the purpose but at least they aren't submerged. With oil they turn out well.
My favorite part of air frying is much less mess.
We've had this exact instant pot fry for two years now and going strong. We use it every day for various things. Don't hesitate to buy one.
Bought a Cuisinart and it's great but it's renowned for providing temperature a little higher than selected. BUT that caused me to get a digital bluetooth temperature monitor. I now select a temperature 25 degrees lower than requested and I cook to internal food temperature. I don't care how long I'm supposed to cook that chicken breast because when it gets to 165F….it's done. The bluetooth version links to my smartphone and I can sit in the other room while monitoring my cooking.
I like the airfryer because it's quicker then my oven and my oven doesn't have convection so some stuff it just isn't that good at.
I love my air fryer that I have and it is a Ninja model with a circle drawer. I love using it as a mini oven as well like for example, a few chicken thighs or even a pork chop.
R2D2, the Stanley Kubrick model.
We are getting rid of our older Philips basket style air fryer soon. It’s hard to clean. The basket is very small and we end up having to cook in multiple batches which takes a lot of time. And our regular oven is good enough for most things we cook.
I am interested in other types of air fryers that would be easier to clean. But I’m going to wait until we have a bigger kitchen.
Very easy to working people ❤

Gourmia 6 qt at Target is identical (same OEM manufacturer in China?) to the Insta and cost 39.99 on the run up to Christmas. Mini, super efficient convection oven? No brainer!
I have a Ninja 2 basket and a Ninja Foodi. Love them both and use them a lot. Wish I had held off a bit longer though as Ninja came out with one you can use a 2 drawer or take the middle out for larger items. Wouldn't be without them now
Meh. Kitchen clutter to me. I believe in spend more money on quality essentials like knives, pots and pans, cutting boards and baking sheets that last. People kept giving me these. I tried them. Then gave them away. I need counter space!
I cook & reheat almost everything in my air fryer. I think I've used my oven once in the past 6 months. It's pretty much replaced my microwave, too, because everything just tastes better & has a better texture when (re)heated in the AF.
When my Cosori was recalled last year, I went with this InstantPot one. It worked great, but the chemical smell was so intense I had to keep my windows open for a week with fans blowing out just to breathe. My whole apartment building smelled for a couple of months. I continued trying to "burn off" the smell as you sometimes do, but after several months and no improvement (the food tasted of chemicals, too😝), I finally donated it with a note that it worked great, but stunk, so use your discretion. I replaced it with a Gourmia with similar functions (loved the dehydrate button over the holidays – people went crazy over having healthy holiday snacking options!) & literally no smell, even straight out of the box! 8 months after the recall & Cosori finally replaced my original one, but it seems so outdated now. I am saving it for when I cook things for a very strict vegan friend that won't eat things if cooked in something that cooked meat.
So basically I need an AF, refrigerator, pressure cooker, and an electric kettle in my kitchen & that's it😄!
I love my Casori 6.5 qt. As a single person, i have nearly daily use for a few strips of bacon, reheating leftovers (way better than the microwave). The bacon dripping are excellent too. A batch of wings? Perfect! No more heating the range oven for small items.
I’ve tried a couple air fryers but theres either a skill I lack or I need to use a super high end one. I grew up cooking on cheap electric ranges and ovens and my mom and dad showed me all the tricks to get stuff cooked quickly and crisply. To me the air drier solves a problem I don’t have poorly while taking up space in an already crowded kitchen.
I'll save y'all the time: yes.
Completely misleading title. Should be called air fryer reviews
I have owned the Instant model for a year and use it every day. The only real complaint I have concerns the silicon clips that hold the frying grate in the drawer and keeping it clean. The clips began to deteriorate shortly after I first started using the oven, and getting them back in place after cleaning is difficult.
Having to do a thorough wash down of the drawer after every use becomes tedious. And grease migrates all around the cooking cavity, above and below the drawer. Especially if I cook a food that contains a lot of fat, like bacon or sausage. Making me include the chore of cleaning to my decision as to whether or not I actually want to use the fryer or not is a real factor.
