Oh cool! I've been reusing mine for a long time 😊 Once they get worn out, I use them for stinky trash items (like meat packaging, expired spoiled food) so they don't stink too bad while we await trash pick-up day.
Bags used for raw meat/poultry get washed in extra hot water & used for storage of non-food items (office supplies, toiletries when traveling, organizing ribbons, etc).
Your dad sounds a lot like my husband… good worker, smart, gentle, and great father! I have had the privilege of staying home with my 3 children and my husband has always provided and picked up extra jobs so we can live comfortably. ❤
After you wash them, turn the tops down to the outside, and you can open them up and stand them on their bottoms. They will dry much faster than the way they are showing on the video.
I thought everyone did this. I can’t imagine throwing them out after only one (or even ten) use(s).
Hint: to wash them, turn them inside out and put your hand inside, wearing them like a mitten. Squirt some soap and wash them as if you were washing your hands.
Not so sure about this even though lots of ppl are doing it, 1, so much water running & a food safety talking head yrs ago said these bags should be discarded. I’ll have to think about this one.
I have, however yes they have adate of done. Yeah
I use soda instead of soap
I've been doing this for years
Nope
Yeah … but you use so much water to wash them though
Okay , you win the cutest chef in my world award 🙂 😊
Midwest people be like, isn’t everyone doing this already?
…and ten time usage.
Provide proof for meat no usage, please.
What happens if I wash and reuse it the eleventh time?
I'm way ahead of you.
Wouldn't you be putting even more plastic in your body while it deteriorates
Why not just vuy reusable bags ? Instead of zip lock
Just buy some wax wraps. You're ingesting enough plastic already.
I already do
Been doing this for years. It’s a no brainer!!!!!
My mom just turned them inside out. Much easier
I wash mine the way described but I turn them inside out to rinse and dry.
Hell nope 😂
I raw feed my dogs, and reuse the bags. Dogs haven't complained yet.
I always do.
As an Indian i just want to say hold our Beer😂😂😂
I do this on occasion, but i don't tell anyone. I'm kinda poor. This is actually a secret shame for me.
I always wash the bags and reuse them!!

Except we shouldn't be using plastic at all😮

I shred cheese from a block and store in zip lock bags. After a while, the zipper won't zip closed anymore. That's when they go in the trash.
My mom aleays does…so i do too
What a revelation! ❤️❤️❤️
I always stick my ziploc bags in the dishwasher. They are so darn expensive. I get 2-3-4 uses out of mine
Just last month, I saw 1/2 gal freezer bags at Walmart. Also, they now sell 2 gal bags!!!!

I have this many of time
Or use glass containers.. You won't die from cancer.
These types of storage bags can also be recycled where you recycle your grocery bags.
