Simple Pantry Pasta Recipe



This is kinda like aglio e olio but extremely delicious, quick, easy and not authentic. I was too lazy to go to the grocery so I grabbed whatever was in my pantry, fridge, and freezer.

Ingredients:
Garlic
Sea Salt (For the pasta water)
Pasta (Any type lol I still had some homemade spinach pasta in my freeze)
Olive oil
Butter
Chilli Flakes
Parsley (I used dried cuz it was in my pantry)
Parmesan Cheese (If you don’t have it just add salt to taste)
Yuzu or Lemon Juice (I used yuzu juice cuz it was going to expire soon)

Directions:
1. Cut the garlic into thin slices

2. Add sea salt to a pot of water and bring that to a boil (You’ll be adding pasta water into the pasta later so taste your water)

3. Add pasta to the boiling water and follow the package directions. If finished before cooking the garlic, remove it from the water and keep it to the side. Just make sure to keep your pasta water!

4. Add oil and butter to a pan on medium heat

5. Once all the butter is melted, add the garlic

6. After 1-2 minutes, add the chilli flakes and parsley

7. Once the garlic turns light brown, turn off the heat and add pasta water to stop the garlic from overcooking.

8. Lastly, add the pasta, parmesan cheese and yuzu/lemon juice to the pan and mix aggressively (that’s how we make it creamy).

9. Put it on a plate or eat it straight out of the pan and enjoy!
