Want easy BBQ flavor in a few minutes? Or course you do!
You can cook this recipe on the grill or your stovetop; with a few ingredients that you most likely already have in your refrigerator.
I like to serve these open faced sandwiches with slices of sweet onion and shredded pepper jack cheese and a side of bread and butter pickles.
Brown 1 pound of Swift ground pork and add a large handful of sweet diced peppers and onions. Once meat is brown and peppers and onions are soft add 2 tablespoons of your favorite sweet based barbecue rub. Continue stirring and pour in 1/2 of a can or bottle of beer or broth, and one cup of your favorite barbecue sauce.
Simmer till thickened. I like to serve this open face style on toasted garlic bread.
Top with shredded pepper, jack cheese and sliced sweet onions, but be creative and top with what you like!
