  1. I wondered my whole life about slow cookers so I bought one. I followed your recipe and although the meat was certainly tender, the dish was …. meh.
    I suppose I am beef Burgandy spoiled. I think I'm going to throw some potatoes in it, hit it with some corn starch slurry on the back end and swap half the liquid for some red wine. I've made bigger mistakes in the kitchen. Making croissants, one should never confuse out flour with oat fiber…. I mean, that's what I've heard.

  3. When I make a pot roast, my family prefer mashed potatoes. But I always peel 5 or 6 extra, slice in half and add to the pot roast while it is cooking. After a day or two, I turn those potatoes and any roast left into a Pot Roast Hash. The flavor of the potatoes after cooking in the beef broth combined with when they get crispy…. best home fried potato EVER! Top with an over medium egg or two and you won't want to go to the trouble of corned beef hash again.

Thank you Chef! With your recipes here, I feel zero urge to go out to any restaurants, as what I cook at home is equal or better. And I can put all my love into it. 🙂
