  1. I trusted your ham recipe for my Christmas party last year, and of course it was a hit, so I'm trusting this one for our housewarming party. Thank you for making such simple and delicious recipes. 🙂

  2. I've made this twice. The first time was FANTASTIC but I forgot to put the sauce in the fridge after cleaning up so only got to enjoy it for the first serving. 🙁 Made it a second time and I happened to have two jazz apples that were starting to wrinkle so i chopped them up and threw in the slow cooker along with everything else, and it really did give it that extra level of apple flavor.

  3. I just made this and it was amazing! I did not have a pork roast so i used a pork loin . I also ended up using sage, rosemerry and tyme. I did not have fresh parsley. This really is a very good recipe and i highly recommend it. I will definitely make it again with the pork roast.

  4. I'm snowed in and making this dish, then discovered I didn't have a bay leaf or Dijon mustard ( I have Gulden's) will that work you think? AND Have you considered changing the show's name form," Food Wishes" to," Chef John's Cooking Pun for the Whole Family!"

  5. Made this on Saturday, it was great. My family loved it, and said it was a keeper recipe. I did add about 1 Tbl of pickling spice to the crockpot. But other than that, no other changes to the recipe. I made spaetzle for a side. It was a yummy stick to your ribs dinner for winter.

  6. I don't like over cooked foods, other than that, I think, his cooking philosophy is great …… it might look great and taste great but over cooked food is just not good enough to support a healthier body in the long run ……
