The sauce is a delicious combination of sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, soy, sugar, and a touch of chili flakes. The result is an incredibly flavorsome sauce that matches beef perfectly.

A single batch of this recipe should make enough to feed four to six people. I recommend making some steamed rice or noodles to go along with the dish.

All the ingredients that you will need to make this dish are right below.

1 onion, diced
3 tsp garlic, crushed
2 tsp ginger, minced
1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
2 Tbsp sesame oil
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup beef stock
½ cup brown sugar
¼ tsp red chili flakes
1kg (2.2 lb) chuck beef, cut into bite-sized cubes

Thickener

3 Tbsp cornstarch
3 Tbsp water

Like every recipe, you can make some adjustments if you want to add more flavor.

Vegetables such as broccoli can be added to the slow cooker for a bit more nutrition. I would add broccoli for the last hour of cooking, so it does not overcook. Other vegetables, such as carrot, will need to be added at the start.

When it comes to slow cooking, you are best to use a cheap cut of beef. For example, chuck, brisket, or round will work the best.

I hope that you love this slow cooker Korean beef recipe as much as I do. If you have feedback, then please do not hesitate to leave a comment below.

  1. Where’s the comments?! I’m about to make this ill be back tomorrow morning to let y’all know

Edit: I’m eating my fourth bowl of the day with rice! Definitely worth trying and the ingredients were spot on. Not as “Asian” as I’d like it to taste but it’s creamy and tender
