  1. Classic Smashed Beef Burger

    Burger patties ingredients

    Beef mince: 1/2 kg under-cut mince.

    Fat/butter: 100g,

    Salt: 1 tsp,

    Black pepper: 1 tsp,

    Cheese: Cheddar and mozzarella, as needed.

    Sauce ingredients

    Mayonnaise: 1 cup.

    Grated onion: 2 tbsp.

    Mustard paste: 1 tbsp.

    Hot sauce: 2 tbsp.

    Salt: 1/2 tsp.

    Black pepper: 1/2 tsp.

    Ketchup: 2 tbsp.

    Finely chopped jalapeños: 2 tbsp.

    Paprika: 1 tsp.

    Lemon juice: As needed.

    Assembly ingredients

    Burger patties, as needed.

    Burger sauce, as needed.

    Lettuce, as needed.

    Tomato slices, as needed.

    Jalapeños, as needed.

    Sliced onions, as needed.

    Instructions

    Mix the beef mince with salt and black pepper. Form the mince into small, round balls and set them aside. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated onion, mustard paste, hot sauce, salt, black pepper, ketchup, chopped jalapeños, paprika, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside. Place the beef balls on a hot griddle or skillet. Use a firm, flat metal spatula to press down and smash each ball into a thin patty. Cook until done. Place slices of cheddar and mozzarella on top of the cooking patties until melted. Lightly toast the burger buns. Spread the prepared sauce on the toasted buns. Add a patty with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, onions, and jalapeños. Top with the other half of the bun and serve

    SMASHED CHILI CHEESE BURGER
    Ingredients for Beef Patty:

    Beef mince 400 gm

    Ingredients for Marination:

    Salt and crushed black pepper ¾ tsp

    Cajun spice ½ tsp

    Burger buns 4

    Siracha mayo as required

    Tomato pastes 2 tbsp

    Chili sauce 2 tbsp

    White pepper ¼ tsp

    Crushed red pepper ½ tsp

    Cheddar cheese slices 4

    Ingredients to Serve

    Fries as required

    Jalapenos as required

    Jerkins as required

    METHOD:

    Marinate beef mince with salt, pepper, Cajun spice, grill on a grill pan smashing the patty, heat burger buns, apply with siracha mayo, make sauce by mixing together tomato paste, chili sauce, crushed red pepper, white pepper and salt, put sauce over the smashed burger, cook for 2 mins on each side, put salad leaf on the bun, cheese slice, patty with sauce, jerkins, jalapenos, top with bun and serve with fries.
