Smoked Pork Belly: with delicious Japanese BBQ Sauce



Smoked Pork Belly is easy, delicious and a cheap way to feed a crowd. While we have been known for our pork belly burnt ends for years, smoking a pork belly like a brisket is a delicious method that can be taken in many different flavor profile directions. You can slice it like brisket and serve it like a taco. In this recipe and video we glaze the smoked pork belly with a delicious Japanese BBQ sauce and ultimately create some very tasty tacos.

  1. I dig it with the skin! Getting harder to find though. Smoke it anyway you can think off and take it off smoker and flip it skin side up onto a sheet pan and put it in the lowest point in the oven and broil and just watch!Turns that skin into cracklin'! Nothing better than a smoked slab of belly with cracklin' attached 🤤

  2. OMG, I just had an epiphany… what if these Japanese [or Korean!] BBQ sauce tacos where a culinary fusion or tacos and sushi?? Pork belly served on a flour tortilla, with some cillantro, mex cheese, pickled ginger, a drip of soy sauce and a smudge of wasabi… Serioulsy, am I a genius or what?
    I'm definitely making this over the weekend. Will report back afterwards unless someone else beats me to it or my pale-white corporate-office bum explodes with the rest of me beforehand.
