Bacon Wrapped Smoked Shotgun Shells BBQ is a quick and easy BBQ appetizer that you can make in about an hour and a half, and its just a few simple ingredients. Let’s take a look at this BBQ Shotgun Shells recipe. Manicotti shells, ground sausage, shredded cheese, bacon, your favorite bbq rub, and your favorite bbq sauce. I smoked these on my Masterbuilt Gravity Series 800, and set the Masterbuilt Gravity 800 to 300F. At about 45min in I sauced them up and let the setup for about 5-10 minutes.
These smoked shotgun shells appetizer were a flavor parade! Between the bacon, the rub , sauce, smoke, and sausage it was delicious!

If you have a jerky gun, that works good to fill them. Otherwise I put a ball of meat in my hand and jam the open end of the manicotti into it until it's almost to the other side. Then I flip it and jam the other side till full. Unless you like re-living prom night 20 plus times heh heh
I think adding some onion & green pepper that's been rendered down till soft would be a great addition. They look good.
Can't wait to try this one out. Were the shells cooked and not crunchy? Looks like it was a good bite!
you can buy "oven ready" pasta (lasagna, manicotti tubes etc) makes things so much easier, drives me crazy that people don't know this, unless they don't sell them in the US, we can get them here in Canada, I'm going to do these this summer for sure
Why don't you use a jerky shooter that's what I'm going to use
great stuff!!!!
I e made these 3 times and the shells are crunchy and hard.
I just made these and LORD HAVE MERCY… ABSOLUTELY AMAZING..
Take your damn glasses off! No one wants to listen to someone that is hiding.
Can you make these on the regular bbq?
Omg these are absolutely amazing! Made them in my oven instead of the grill.
Guga stole this recipe lmao
Never take BBQ advice from a skinny person.👍
Maybe one of the new Kabob makers would make filling easier.
how to ruin meat: wrap it in carbs.
Thanks for the video, now I’m hungry!
You’re lucky you have a helper.
I made these for the first time last weekend – before seeing your YT – and thought I was lame when the bacon didn’t completely cover the shell. So thank you for showing you may need to add a partial slice.
Can you say how much u payed for all those ingredients in your SouthWestNorthCountry?
going camping… bbq, no smoker….. these work on a grill?
Wouldn’t a meat grinder with the sausage or hot dog implement attachment work better for stuffing them ?
