Smooth Cherry Smoothie – Recipe



With the summer already here we can’t get enough of these cool refreshing smoothies. Give this one a go if you are a cherry lover. And remember… you can never have too many cherries.

Ingredients-
1c Low fat milk (we prefer Almond milk)
1/2c Plain yogurt
1/2 Banana (or 1 small banana)
3/4c Cherries (seedless)
10 Ice cubes

Directions
Add all ingredients to your blender (in the order above).
Blend all ingredients for 60-90 seconds (more for thinner, less for thicker).
If it gets too thin, add ice and blend a little more.

  1. I don't think frozen cherries from the store are harmful. If they could kill you why would they sell them in the store in a frozen fruit bag? They know people are not going to take the pits out of cherries in a frozen fruit bag and just throw them in a blender. Would be a lot of lawsuits. No warning on the bags either. I do know crushing up 30 or more cherry pits and ingesting them creates cyanide poisoning. 30 pits is a lot. I highly doubt you could get that much in a mixed fruit smoothie with a few pitted cherries in there.
