My Everyday Roti Recipe – Ready in 15 Mins!
I can’t go more than a few days without making roti it’s a staple in my kitchen and easier than you think!
Here’s how I get soft, pliable roti without needing to rest the dough:
300g plain flour
180-220ml hot water (adjust based on your flour)
Heavy pinch of salt
1. Mix with a wooden spoon handle, then knead by hand.
Dough should be soft and a little sticky.
2. Weigh into 85g balls.
3. Lightly flour your surface to roll, but dust off excess so it doesn’t burn.
4. Brush both sides with oil when cooking.
5. As soon as they’re done, wrap in a tea towel to steam and stay soft.
Freezing tip:** wrap them hot and freeze immediately they’ll stay perfect!
