Today I’m making Traditional Mexican Concha Shell Soup with Ground Beef (Sopa de Conchitas con Carne Molida) 😋 This comforting classic is one of my family’s favorites! So simple, so flavorful, and so easy to make. The perfect cozy soup for any day! 🥰
MEXICAN SHELL SOUP WITH GROUND BEEF INGREDIENTS:
For the meat:
► 1 lb. ground beef
► 2 minced garlic cloves
► 1/4 of white onion
► Salt and pepper to taste
For the Salsa:
► 3 tomatoes
► 1/4 of white onion
► Small piece of jalapeño
► 1 garlic clove
► 1 cup water
► 1 tsp tomato bouillon
► 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
For the soup:
► 1 7oz bag of sopa de conchas (shells)
► 1 potato
► 5 cups hot water
► 1 carrot
► 1 calabacita (zucchini)
► Bunch of cilantro

Love your recipes. Just a friendly fyi, the word sopa has a different meaning in English. For example, sopa de arroz does not translate into soup of rice. The same goes for conchitas, they are called “pasta shells” in English, not soup. 😊
