  1. Not bad for a guy not from South Africa 😂 you can even take them of earlier with a bit more moisture, they taste great then. The vinegar assists with curing and making the meat safe to eat a little bit wet, almost like as if it’s medium to well 👌🏻

  2. I introduced Droëwors to my American wife with Biltong and she was skeptical. Now she loves it so much she makes it for us with Koeksisters . At the Texas potjie they thought she was South African, selling Koeksisters. I am blessed. Great video.

  3. Glad you enjoyed my favourite food in South Africa, it is the best snack you can get especially when on a low carb or Keto diet , the flavour you get from a well made and spiced droe wors is insane! , tip , try find some meat that is C grade , with yellow oxidised fat that comes from an older mature animal , that fat basically melts in your mouth and is super flavoursome , trust me you will write back to me!

  4. Nee my fok my Amerikaanse Frikkie! Just call it dry sausage, stay clear of "droëwors", till someone explains the pronunciation😂 Other than that, good job my friend, pretty much 90% the way we make it here, or at least I make it hahaha.

  5. 45 years of eathing this and and the only down side is when the bag is empty. I see only South African's commenting on this. Certainly have my stamp of approval. You can do this with any red meat. Since we're game hunters in SA, it is enjoyed in all flvours from Kudu to Wildabeest.
