5 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp tomato paste
28 oz crushed tomatos
1/2 cup water
red pepper flakes (optional)

Then in a large pot, over medium high heat, add oil and cook your ground beef. Season with salt and pepper.
Once fully cooked, remove from pan and set aside.
Then, saute your onions and garlic until softened 5-7 minutes. Then, add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes. Then add crushed tomatoes and water. Then add oregano, fennel, salt and pepper. Add the beef back to the pot and simmer for 20 minutes.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt it generously. Once boiling, cook spaghetti to package directions. Then drain.
In a medium frying pan over medium low heat, add some sauce and some cooked pasta and stir vigorously with tongs. Then serve with extra sauce, Parmesan cheese and herbs of your choice. Enjoy!

  3. Not that you need any advice, but I’ve found that throwing in the garlic and onion when the beef is cooking, and sautéing them all together kicks it up a notch more. I also use pork sausage instead of ground beef sometimes, and I love it. Great work!!
