Spicy Butter Prawn Recipe
Ingredients:
• 500g cleaned prawns
• 2 tsp red chilli powder
• 1 tbsp garlic paste and 1tbsp chopped chopped garlic
• 1 tsp black pepper powder
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 2 tsp garam masala (divided)
• Salt (as needed)
• 2 tsp lemon juice
• 4 tbsp butter (divided)
• 3 medium-sized onions, chopped
• Few sprigs of curry leaves
• 2 tsp red chilli paste
• 1 tsp red chilli masala
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Prawns:
• In a paraat, mix the prawns with red chilli powder, garlic paste, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, 1 tsp garam masala, salt, and lemon juice.
• Let the prawns marinate for 10-15 minutes.
2. Cook the Prawns:
• In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter and pan-fry the marinated prawns until they are cooked well.
• Remove the prawns and set them aside.
3. Prepare the Masala:
• In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tbsp butter.
• Add the chopped onions, little chopped garlic and curry leaves. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
• Stir in the red chilli paste, 1 tsp garam masala, red chilli masala, and salt.
• Add the cooked prawns and mix well.
4. Final Touch:
• Cook until the masala coats the prawns well.
• Serve hot with Malabar parotta.
