Spider Grills VENOM setup & review (making BBQ Beef Ribs) | Impossibly Kosher
The Venom by Spider grills may just be one of the coolest Weber Charcoal grill attachments I’ve come across in a long time.
In this video I go through it all to give a full and honest assessment and review of the Venom weber attachment.
If you haven’t heard about it, it basically controls the air flow into the kettle which means it controls the temperatures.
I put it to the ultimate test… a 5 hour delicious Beef Plate Ribs. If it is able to keep temps constant for 5 hours with minimal tinkering from my side? The Venom will be my new must use tool.

Have my eyes onthe venom for almost a year now. To bad they don't sell them in Europe (Netherlands). If there is a way to get one to Europe i'll be all over it 😀
Bro this venom saved my thanksgiving , smoked a brisket , cooked a turkey and a ham in a 24 hour span , and all came out good . 💯💯💯

What’s the reason for the foil above the venom? Is that recommended by the manufacturer to protect it? Or just something you did just in case?
You place the coals on the side where the venom is installed or the opposite side?
How often did you have to add coals?
Can you deliver your message without waving your hands? I didn’t think so. Try reducing hand movements as you speak. Playback your vid but, turn off the sound. I think you’ll see what I mean.

You already had the hole on the bottom for BBQ Guru, and you shouldn’t of painted it , it really looks like shit now. You could just stick another probe gourmet in the bottom hole. Great video tho. 🔥🔥

If they are telling you how much to open the top vent, is it really doing that much to control Temps? Or is it just an aid to reach Temps faster?
Does the Slow & Sear go on the same side as the Venom unit?
I want to purchase one but it’s only a 1 year warranty and I don’t know how it will do in the long run…. 😭😭😭

Nice video man. I been using mine for a while now and I really do like it. Do you have any recommendations when it comes to low and slow? I did 12 briquettes and dumped them in my slow n sear. However once it reached 225 it shot up to 300 and took a while to come back down.

Since it is a permanent install, is it weather proof? Maybe a removable interface. My grill gets used often but it is on my outside deck 12 months out of the year. We cover it , But have been caught with our pants down sort of speak, like when it is too hot to cover and we forget and it rains the next morning. Great video Thanks Craig.

It would have been a more reliable test without the hole in your pit. It must have been hard for the Spider Venom to control air flow as a result.
