Here’s a secret recipe most people have never seen — steam pork belly on onions! 🧅🥩
The result? Crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender inside, packed with flavor you can’t forget.
✨ Step-by-step magic:
1️⃣ Pierce the pork belly with a toothpick, wipe off excess fat, and brush with soy sauce.
2️⃣ Pan-fry until golden brown, then soak in hot water to form that signature tiger-skin texture.
3️⃣ Slice thick like chopsticks — soft, chewy, and flavorful.
4️⃣ Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, ginger, and 13-spice — coat the pork evenly.
5️⃣ Top with Meigan Cai (preserved vegetables) for that rich aroma.
6️⃣ Steam on high heat for 60 minutes — and enjoy heaven on a plate.
👵 Even my 85-year-old grandma says it’s the best she’s ever eaten!

Nice yummy
So many errors made by the AI.
Americans won't bother taking that long just to make meal, just give them a bigMac, fries & coke, problem solved!!!
Why not 70 holes 😂
I alwaysvgeard to poke the pork belly two hundred thirty nine times because if you poke it one more time, it would be two farty.🫣
I ruined my attempt at this. I stabbed it 70 times.
That ginger was anything but minced
Wonderful ❤️
Free of sand? I'm sorry what?
Definitely NOT crispy. Yummy though. Braised pork belly with preserved vegetables is one of my favorite dishes.
Add Chinese cooking wine and sesame oil to the sauce
69 hole got me
69 holes! Very specific! 😂 get the kf outa here!
Hakka Chinese dish.
😂😂😂😂
Everthig went wrong. Strangely enough the description of the chop sticks was misleading. A wooden spoon was employed, consequently I used a knitting neddle instead of a tooth pick, I then focused on stabbing my meat. Thereafter I lost all interest. 😅
After 69 wipe ok note 👍
Okay
If you don't poke 69 holes, then you will cry "96 tears"
And after that, it is like eating a rubber…
That aint crispy…
