Here’s a secret recipe most people have never seen — steam pork belly on onions! 🧅🥩
The result? Crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender inside, packed with flavor you can’t forget.

✨ Step-by-step magic:
1️⃣ Pierce the pork belly with a toothpick, wipe off excess fat, and brush with soy sauce.
2️⃣ Pan-fry until golden brown, then soak in hot water to form that signature tiger-skin texture.
3️⃣ Slice thick like chopsticks — soft, chewy, and flavorful.
4️⃣ Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, ginger, and 13-spice — coat the pork evenly.
5️⃣ Top with Meigan Cai (preserved vegetables) for that rich aroma.
6️⃣ Steam on high heat for 60 minutes — and enjoy heaven on a plate.

👵 Even my 85-year-old grandma says it’s the best she’s ever eaten!

  1. Everthig went wrong. Strangely enough the description of the chop sticks was misleading. A wooden spoon was employed, consequently I used a knitting neddle instead of a tooth pick, I then focused on stabbing my meat. Thereafter I lost all interest. 😅
