Any year ending deserves Mom’s blessings 😁 So here it is, my mom’s signature dish- #BreadPudding with my own #Twist of #Strawberries (of course you may totally omit the strawberries if you don’t want them)

Trust me it’s one of those homey #Desserts that makes you feel warm, safe and happy; a perfect note to end the year on and a perfect mantra to begin the new year with!

Strawberry Bread Pudding

Ingredients
Strawberries – 150 gms
Bread slices- 6-7
Milk- 2 & ½ cups
Castor Sugar 1/4 th cup
Fresh cream(Malai)- 2 tbsp
Vanilla essence- 2 tsp
Cornflour – 1 tbsp
2 eggs (separated)
Mixed Nuts as required

Method-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
Hull the strawberries and slice them thinly.
Whip all the other ingredients just for a few seconds in a bowl except for the strawberries and the egg whites.
Fold in the sliced strawberries, pour in a buttered baking dish and bake in a preheated oven for 25- 30 minutes.
Once done, whip the egg whites separately with powdered sugar. Once you get stiff peaks, spoon them on the baked pudding and put it back in the oven for about 30 seconds.
The moment you see a nice golden colour on the whites, take it out. Cool slightly and serve warm. It tastes amazing when chilled too.
