Such a delicious recipe with potato and ground beef! Simple and tasty! Mashed potato meat pie!
Ingredients:
Ground beef 200g
Yukon gold potatoes 500g
Button mushrooms 6
Onion 1/ 2
Garlic 4 cloves
Soy sauce 2tsp
Salt & pepper
Sugar 1.5tsp
Ketchup 2tsp
Butter 10g
Cheddar cheese
Parmesan cheese
Parsley (Optional)
Instructions:
Mashed potatoes:
Cut the potatoes into chunks
Boil the potatoes with a pinch of salt for about 20 minutes or till fork tender
Drain and crush the potatoes with a masher
Season it with butter, salt and pepper
Mix the potatoes with the seasoning well
Ground beef topping:
Slice the mushrooms
Dice the onion
Dice the garlic
Add cooking oil to the frying pan
Add onions and stir fry till soft
Add the mushrooms, then add garlic
Sauté for about 3minutes until they soften
Add ground beef and stir fry till it turns brown
Season the beef with 2 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp salt, 2tsp ketchup, 1.5tsp sugar and some pepper
Add 50ml water and keep the lid on for about 3 minutes
Baking:
Transfer the mashed potatoes into a baking dish
Add two slices of cheddar cheese
Cover the potatoes with the cooked ground beef
Top the dish with shaved parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 380°F
Bake the dish for 5 minutes
