Super Easy Braised Pork Ribs in Oyster Sauce Recipe 蚝油焖排骨 Chinese Pork Recipe

If you are new to Chinese family-style cooking, the most basic ingredient you need to get is a good bottle of oyster sauce. Oyster sauce adds a savoury flavour to dishes, making it an ideal choice for enhancing the flavours of meat and vegetables.

I love Braised Pork Ribs in Oyster Sauce. The sauce adds umami kick to the ribs. Ooh lala! You must try it!

  1. As planned, I made these last night and they turned out excellent. In America you typically get a "rack" of 12 ribs, so I made all of them…about 1 Kg. I did scale up the recipe accordingly but not more than double the quantities recommended for 400g of ribs. My 10 year old son helped me make them and we both loved the end result. I did have to take the ribs out and reduce the sauce to a glaze but that isn't necessary if you plan to eat rice alongside. The sauce is super flavorful and a little goes a long way. I can see myself making this again and also using this simple technique for other braised dishes. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I started to learn cooking thru watching YouTube 3 years ago. And this is the channel I like the most. Cooking instructions are easy to follow and ingredients easy to get. This built up my interest in cooking. And my family love it. Thank you

  3. I made this dish today for lunch, and it turned out so good. My husband said that it was the best rib dish that I had made! Despite I didn't use a slow cooker or a pressure machine, it was so tender, and the meat fell right off the bone when you bite into it. The ingredients were very simple and everything was the things you already have on hand if you are a Chinese dish fan. Thank you for the great recipe!
