Wow interesting. Just recently, my gf bought steaks that were labelled as T-Bone but the tenderloin is actually 2" across at the bottom by the bone and 2.5" at the thickest part of the tenderloin! Porterhouse for days lol lucky us!

USDA standard for tenderloin size on a porterhouse is actually 1.25", not 1.5".
