  1. You really don’t need to follow all those steps just mix it together leave it for 12/16 hours depending on what the temperature is and then bake it no stretch and folds nothing I had terrible results doing it with all the steps but I found a recipe for just mixing it up and leaving it and it was the best thing I ever did

  2. LMAO-My mama let her starter die bc me and my parents when on vacation (to some family members my great aunt helped her make the starter and she asked my mom about how it was)and my mama lied to her and said she put it in the fridge 😭😭🙏that happened abt a month ago 😭✋

  3. I fucking love you. I love baking bread I wanted to get into sourdough but from the videos I watched I was really intimidated because I didn’t have all the baskets and all the cool scoring blades lol but I just fucking love you❤

  4. We all start somewhere and you are doing great! I love using my discard for all sorts of things. Basically anything that uses flour and liquid can have discard added. But my favorite go-tos are bagels, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cakes, pizza crust, pancakes/waffles, crackers, and bread of course. Sometimes a discard loaf is all I have time for. Lol

  5. There are tons of recipes for discard. Im a waste not want not kinda gal and I can't see tossing all the goodness. You will learn more by doing it❤ I have regular sour dough starter and also a recipe from my grandmother's potato sour dough. Its my favorite and baking day makes the whole house smell sooo good. Your making all the good stuff!

  6. looks amazing! the inside of the loaf seemed kind of dought, so make sure you let the loaf cool as long as possible before you slice into it – the steam keeps cooking the inside for a while after you pull it from the oven, so slicing too early can mess with the crumb!

  7. Yass! You got this mama! Your loaves look fabulous❤. Sourdough Tortillas, pasta, pancakes, cake, chocolate chip cookies, & bagels are also tasty. You could put starter and discard in almost everything. I started with tortillas & tried a different recipe each week until I mastered it 😊.
