Tandoori Chicken Restaurant style With Vahchef – Tandoori Recipes of India by Vahchef



TANDOORI CHICKEN

Ingredients:-
Whole Chicken – 1 Full Bird
Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Yogurt – 1 Cup
Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Kasoori Methi – 1 tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
Oil – As Required
Salt – To Taste
Method:-
First cut the chicken as shown in the video. Massage the chicken with chilli powder and salt & lime juice nicely. In a bowl add yogurt,add ginger garlic paste,turmeric,coriander powder,garam masala,cumin powder,kashmiri chilli powder,chat masala and mix it nicely. Then add some lemon juice and oil. Apply this masala to chicken and add little amount of oil. Put the whole chicken in oven at the highest temperature for 45-50 minutes.
Tasty and Juicy Tandoori Chicken is ready to serve.

  1. I am sure the chicken turned out to be excellent. However, I feel that the recipe is overly complicated. A good recipe should be based on best flavor with minimum effort. Yogurt marination after brining is just pointless. Another point: I (and many like me) want to taste more of meat’s natural flavor than all the spices you are adding. After tinkering with our Indian spices for a number of years, I have come to the conclusion that if you just stick to salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, you can achieve a very decent flavor.

  2. Chef , very nice presentation of the chicken and as I am reading the comments those who tried, the recipe was very tasty. I have a question? When do you cover with aluminum foil? I need exact timing.. if those who tried can let me know. Will appreciate. Thanks in advance.
