Tandoori marinated prawns with just simple and easy ingredients:

Ingredients:

Tiger Prawns (deveined & peeled) – 18-20

For Tandoori Marinade:

Mustard Oil – 2tbsp

Ginger garlic paste – 2tbsp

Dhaniya Powder – 2tbsp

Haldi powder – 1/2 tbsp

Red Chilli powder – 1tbsp

Salt – to taste

Kashmiri Mirch – 1 tbsp

Hung Curd – 100gms

Crushed kasuri methi (dry fenugreek) – a pinch

Ghee – 1/2 tsp

Charcoal – 1

For Cooking :

Oil – 2tbsp

Process:

In a bowl combine mustard oil, dhaniya powder, haldi, red chilli powder, Kashmiri mirch, salt, lemon, hung curd and kasuri methi. Mix well to get smooth consistency.

Put prawns in the marination and mix well.

Then smoke it with live charcoal & ghee. (optional step)

Then after 2 mins remove the charcoal and let it rest for 15 mins so that flavours can combine well together.

After 15 mins, start skewering the prawns (you can cook it directly as well).

Take pan and add oil in it, once the oil is hot start adding the skewers in the pan. (don’t overcrowd)

Keep turning for even cooking on medium flame until there is a colour on prawns.

After 6-7 mins the prawns will be cooked.

Serve Hot.
