  1. INJUSTICE!!! Mike should´ve won that! "Barbara" is also consumed in Greece, and with the "Pasta frola" he went with Argentina which is right next to Paraguay! Neighbouring countries should count extra points

  2. Mike, if you ever come to Argentina you will find Pasta Frola EVERYWHERE Quite literally; so you were right on the money in a way. Every single bread and confection store will have one, and we have one of those store every two blocks… They do differ in quality but most are at least decent.

  3. Pasta Frola is Paraguayan?? Flabbergasted! As an Argetnine I would've said it's ours cause we have it almost every time we sit for tea, or "mate" time. No guava in ours tho. One of the first bakes you learn as a teen I'd say. Well, you learn something every day.

We are so obsessed with quince "hard jam" (dulce de membrillo) that the most common dessert here is quince "hard jam" and soft cheese. A slice of each, put them one on top of the other and just cut through with your fork. An alternative to "dulce de membrillo" is sweet potato hard jam.

  4. I've always wanted to see Switzerland represented in any of your videos but have not been able to think of something that people don't know that well or that would make it stand out. However, if you were to do another round of global deserts or maybe global cakes/pies you could include "Bündner Nusstorte" It's a tart with a caramelly filling with chopped walnuts. There are many different recipes for it and honestly, it's very likely that each family had it's own. But I do think it might be a cool one to include. let's see if the normals could guess it 😛

  5. Want to try that guava pie. I have a soft heart for guava cause my grandma used to make a guava soup that I have not remember completely how she cooked them. I remember it being so sweet and weird but the taste and smell lingered with me after all these years even though she only made it once.

  6. that bacon pudding can you guys do another version of it
sugar at bottom rosted to brown caremal and then mixture of egg yolk and condensed milk on top of that and cover the boul with aluminum foil and steam for about an hour

  7. I had no idea Paraguay had their own version of Pasta Frola! To be fair, Argy pasta frola is made with one kind of filling at a time, either quince (I believe this is the most traditional version), sweet potato or dulce de leche (clearly the most popular nowadays), so I wasn't entirely surprised when it turned out to be Paraguay, but damn, that was really close to home.

  8. You guys should try Peruvian picarones, delicious fried donut made out of pumpkin and sweet potato. Or a Swedish semla, a bun filled with sweet almond paste and whipped cream 👌🏽

  9. Barry🤦 Kenya really😂😂 well as a Kenyan I would like to report that we rarely have dessert at all. We just have a meal. If there is need for dessert it would probably be fruits. Ice cream, cakes etc are treated as snacks or for breakfast with tea. Otherwise it's always exciting to watch you guys❤️

  10. My wife (a Palestinian) got really upset that you claimed Barbara is from Lebanon. Her family has made this food every year and has been making it for generations. I think this one is just a much broader cultural dish and not so much a country-specific one…
