Texas Twinkies

Texas Twinkies
If you love Jalapeño Poppers then you are going to love my absolute favorite Tailgate Snack – Texas Twinkies. Texas Twinkies were invented by my friend’s Hutchins BBQ in McKinney, TX and they are amazing! I mean how can stuffing cream cheese and brisket into a jalapeño and wrapping it in bacon and smoking it be bad?

  1. I would have kept that job as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders until my heart stopped beating…and it did 5 weeks ago (heart attack, quad bypass), but I would be back on the job ASAP, which I’m thinking would have been the day after, for fear of losing my job!

  2. When I read "Texas Twinkies" I immediately thought of Hutchins BBQ in Frisco. My wife and I drive to that location from Plano even though another location is closer. Two Texas Twinkies are a meal for me, with broccoli slaw, the best I've ever tasted. 😎👍🏻💯

  3. I make these for cookouts in the summer, but we call them Atomic Buffalo Turds. Sometimes I'll use sausage, sometimes Hillshire Farm Lil' Smokies. I personally like the Smokies better. I always whip up a batch of spicy Dr. Pepper bbq sauce for dipping. Always a big hit.

  4. Hey Meat Guy….
A couple were getting a divorce, and the court had to decide who got custody of their son.
On the stand the judge asked the little boy if he wanted to live with his father. The little boy said no, my dad beats me.
The Judge asked the little boy if he wanted to live with his mother. The little boy said no, my mom beats me.
Then the Judge asked him, Well who do you want to live with…..
The little boy said the Dallas Cowboys, they don't beat anyone!!!!

Now that I got your attention.. why on earth are you making a "T" in that pepper?
Don' you know that if you just take the stem off, you can slide a straight potato peeler with a pointed nose down there.. twist around the pepper's insides.. it guts the seeds right out of it.
AND What the heck does peppers and cheese with meat …. get called "TWINKIES". That is seriously a whack-a-doodle name for that PEPPER POPPERS !!

  5. I used to live in Mesquite in the mid 90's, a block down from the Mesqute Rodeo. We used to go to the Mesquite BBQ Grille on Military Parkway for all you can eat ribs quite often. I haven't been down there since 1998, I miss those days. It's probably closed or something now.

  6. Good of you to give a shout out to Hutchins in McKinney. I've eat there and it was the best bbq I ever had. I'm a new subscription and glad to have found your channel. The love you put in every recipe is appreciated.

  7. I really enjoy watching your cooking series, this one especially was great. I was skeptical initially because of the apparel. Honestly, I stopped the video once I saw it. You're very lucky my wife has a HUGE heart. While I was visiting the USA, I ordered many things to take with me back to Mexico. She does not understand American football but she understands my hatred for the Cowboys……. we'll let this one slip, but I'm watching…. btw if you came out with a mens league meat church Jersey I'd wear it in the net
