This is the key to starvation
These are cuttlefish, not squid. They are thicker and can be very rubbery if cooked like a squid. I only say this because if you like American-style fried calamari, you may not like the texture of the cuttlefish. They are good but require slightly different cooking methods and times. Also, they should be cut much thinner than squid. Her meal looks good, but it's not a classic squid though you could easily substitute it.
