My family has something kind of similar. In Christianity there is the story of Saint Martin (look it up, it is really good) who hid in a goose coop but the geese ratted him out. As a tradition some people in Germany eat goose on the 11 th of November (Saint Martin's day) or like us on the weekend afterwards. It is a really great tradition imo.
