This video is hard to take. Here we have seemingly intelligent people promoting a product that has been stripped of most of its nutrients. White rice is simply any rice (in this case Basmati) that has had its germ and bran removed. Here we have an institution. "America's Test Kitchen" that seems blind to wise advice attributed to Hippocrates,
"Let Food by thy Medicine,
And Medicine be thy Food."
Are this people ignorant or just turning a blind eye to science?
It's as if they have never heard of a medical journal that has published nutritional research. Very SAD. Sad American Diet.
There is one in costco, 20 lb, its the best in world , its only one third of cost in india
Hi time India gets at gi tag for basmati rice its belong to India no one can match that let's save the market from fake basmati rice👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😡
Daawat has a 3x above average lead levels (0.6 ppm).

Dang she hungry
I stand behind Royal brand, says it's grown at the foothills of the Himalayas, but that really doesn't matter because it cooks well, and is very versatile.
leftover rice, fried with some eggs, fresh chives, Aloha brand soyu and bacon, or if you're vegetarian like me, bacon bits, makes a great breakfast! Make sure the rice is made the night before, makes it fry up better, Challenge brand butter helps, too.
Basmati Rice is my favorite thank you

Thank you so much for d compliment ! ❤❤❤ I'm feeling very proud , cause I'm from India! 🙏
Zebra brand basmati rice quality is unmatched.
You simply cannot trust this video and channel.
Look at 0:19. They display 8 different brands, one of the world renown TILDA. And how many rice to taste on the table? Just four. They, intentionally, omitted 50% of the brands.
0:12 "And Jack is here and is going to tell you which brand to buy"
1:07 this frame is coming all the time. pay attention at the display. It's on the right. Why right? because the right is associated with good in our brain. and the daawat bag is in full evidence. 1:37 is also very clear about that.
And look at the "cooks" in the background. More like paid zombies to fake cooking than anything else.
That channel is a disguised infomercial and that video certainly paid by Daawat.
A very high quality SMOKED basmatti from India is even better. Khazana 10 pound bags of lightly smoked basmati are sold on the Walmart website, shipped to your door. Never worry about insects or fumigated rice if it is smoked and the hint of smoke is tasty.
My family buys elephant brand rice.
I love ganador rice 🌾🌾🌾🍚🍚🍚 then basmati here in Philippines
Lundberg 👍🏻👍🏻
That rice looks terribly cooked and wet…
India Gate Basmati rice is good too
I read somewhere that Basmati rice has lower levels of arsenic than other types of rice and therefore safer to eat.
Basmati is from INDIA, Pakmati is from PAKISTAN
Tried almost all ( Indian ) brands basmati rice. We prefer either ' Tilda ' or ' Royal' brands. ( we buy Royal cause they are available not only at Sam's Club but also at lower rate compared to Indian stores ). Best aroma, long grains and not sticky when cooked
Texmati lol 😂 someone file a copyright case
We should avoid rice grown in the southern US states because the ground was soaked in arsenic years ago and the rice soaks it up. Rice from CA and India, Pakastan, and other countries are much healthier for you. Here's some information about how to cook it to cut the arsenic level in 1/2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFsahi_oH-M
Love American test Kitchen, I bought one of the cooking books and love it ❤👍
