Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make the most delicious no lard carnitas in the oven, now let me tell you this is honestly the easiest and most flavorful carnitas you can ever make! This is a little time consuming but let me tell you is worth every minute, dont skip on the marinade this is very important to make sure your carnitas are flavorful and dont taste just like shredded pork, yes thats what it is but we need flavorful meat here, also if you dont care for the chicharrón, use boneless picnic roast, just make sure is high in fat! enjoy this delicious carnitas in tacos, burritos, bowls, or even with just a side of rice and beans🥰

I M P O R T A N T ⚠️
Make sure you salt the pork shoulder, dont skip this!

Tip!!! Use boneless pork shoulder, and just roast for 4 hours without opening the bag, the bag prevents the meat from drying out! OR for even faster carnitas use the instant pot, roast for 2 1/2 hours

Roast at 350f for the first 3-4 hours the last hour at 400f

Ingredients:
8 lbs pork shoulder roast
8 garlic cloves
1 tbsp peppercorn
2 tbsp coarse salt plus 1 tsp
Juice of 1/2 orange
Olive oil
