WOW that's a gross way of cutting the sausages, all the germs from everyone touching that plastic packaging just went into the ingredients of that soup. Nasty.
I like to cook in my crockpot overnight. I prep the crockpot as a clean the kitchen after dinner. Right before bed, I turn it on low while we sleep. In the morning i refrigerate the soup. Dinner is ready if my family is ready to eat before I make it home. It taste better atfer sitting

Why would anyone cut right through the plastic? Just remove the sausage from the packaging and then slice it. Easy peasy.

Love the recipe but for sanitary reasons and possible pieces of plastic in the soup, I would take the links out of the packaging. I think I would also rinse the beans. But that’s just me. It looks delicious.

Please don’t ever cut your sausage while it’s still in the package.. we are not in a hurry.. take your time. It just looks more professional if you take it out the package rinse and then cut.
