What should I be looking for???
I've never been able to get along with electric burners, can't get the reaction speed right.
Why would you advertise electric burners ? They've got a few pretty major drawbacks.
* A lot of energy is lost and only a part of the heat from the element goes into the pot. Leading to higher electric bills.
* One use for a gas burner is that you can use it during a blackout, this goes out the window with an electric burner.
* If the convenience of moving the burner around is what you are after, an induction burner is many times more efficient as it puts the heat directly into the cooking pot and none of the heat is wasted.
Mainstays electric double burner from Wal-Mart works good only problem is they took the planned obsolescence to the next level and only last a month of daily use.
