Can you use organic oatmeal
Best oatmeal cookies I've ever had. If you're skeptical, don't be. They are amazing! Raisens and all.
190.5 celcius
Vegetable oil one of the absolute worse things you can put in your body
My family LOVES these cookies!! This is the only recipe I use anymore. This is also their favorite flavor of cookie, so we take it seriously here. 🤣😂🤣
Your oven looks like it has convection. Why not use that method?
Swirling butter starts fires. DON'T DO THAT.
Now we know vegetable oil is bad and butter is good. By the way, if the NIH published their findings on vegetable oil (clogs the arteries), heart disease would be eradicated, but they won’t. Imagine Big Pharma losing trillions. Here’s a buried study from the NIH pages itself:
“In Sri Lanka, coconut had been the primary source of dietary fat for thousands of years. In 1978 the per capita consumption of coconut was equivalent to 120 nuts/year. At that time the country had one of the lowest heart disease rates in the world. Only one out of every 100,000 deaths was attributed to heart disease, whereas in the United States of America, where very little coconut was eaten and people relied more on polyunsaturated oils, the heart disease death rate at the same time was at least 280 times higher. As a result of the ‘anti-saturated fat’ campaign coconut consumption in Sri Lanka has declined since 1978. By 1991 per capita consumption had dropped to 90 nuts/year and has continued to fall. In place of coconut oil the people begun to eat more corn oil and other polyunsaturated vegetable oils. As coconut consumption decreased, heart disease rates increased in Sri Lanka and interestingly, the problem was greater in the urban cities.”
Pay for the recipe? NOPE 🙄
Cannot wait to make..THEY ARE JUST WHAT I’ ve been looking for❣️THANX GALS..YOUR AWESOME❤ Jan Michaud
Trying these cookies right now. They’re smelling great!
Still find it hard to fathom how Youtubers still use cup measurements, while other have move on, while giving the recipe in cups they also give it in grams, just thought I check out their website and see if they have the recipe in grams and I'm greeted with get free 14 day trial…and then I'm asked to give my card details, so I can pay after my trial, and not sure if they have it in grams…..moved on and found another Tuber that give clear cup and gram weights…..shame that making money from YouTube is not enough they have to make viewers pay to see the recopes…..Not going to happen!!
on their site they said that 3 cups of the oats is equal to 9 ounces. Its not just this recipe that does this either.
This is my favorite thanks a lot
I've seen banana added in oatmeal cookies, what does that replace?
Double the raisins for me please.
Literally the best oatmeal recipe I have ever tried. I added a banana, used 1/2 the oil added 1/2c applesauce and it was delicious! Thank you!
Best oatmeal cookies ever and no raisins needed for me. Thank you
Sadly, I'd rate these a 7/10. Just finished baking them (tasted like a warm granola bar). As an avid baker, I'm drawn to oatmeal cookies with crisp edges and chewy centers with a rich depth of flavor. These did not hit the mark. I posted the full recipe in my previous post below for those who would like to access the recipe.
FULL RECIPE HERE:
Dry Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
4 Tbsp butter (browned- see instructions below)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Brown butter (1-3 mins, swirl pan which allows for more even browning). Place browned butter in a glass bowl; add cinnamon (which blooms the spice); add oil and mix. To same bowl, add sugars and mix. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. To same bowl, add flour mixture (dough will be thick). Add oats and raisins and mix well. Portion about 3 Tablespoons of dough onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Wet hands and flatten cookies to about 2” in diameter.
Bake one tray at a time (to ensure even baking) at 375 degrees for about 10 mins. Cookies will appear “underdone.” Edges will just start to set, center will be soft. Keep cookies on the baking tray for 5 mins (will continue to bake). Move cookies to a wire rack to cool further. Enjoy!
I’ve been looking for oatmeal cookie recipe that I love for 20 YEARS! These are perfection!!! Thank you! ❤
Instead of raisins(allergic), I am thinking pecans and butterscotch chips. Thank you!
